About me

A full-time physician, convinced that good medicine is explained clearly and adapts to each patient's real life.

Dr. Carlos Alfonso Gómez Rochín

I'm a physician who graduated from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC, 2011) and I've practiced medicine in Tijuana for 15 years. My practice covers general medicine in its broadest sense: metabolic, chronic-degenerative and infectious diseases, acute conditions and pain management, always from an integral point of view.

From the start of my career I was drawn to the relationship between health and lifestyle. That's why I complemented my medical training with studies in nutrition and sports science: I wanted to support my patients through the whole process, not just hand them a prescription.

In weight management, my method is to personalize everything: I analyze your metabolic profile with lab work, I teach you to eat well so the changes become permanent, I design your physical activity routine to fit your needs and, when the case calls for it, I prescribe the appropriate medical treatment.

When a case is beyond my scope, I say so honestly and refer you to the right specialist: advanced clinical nutrition, psychology, endocrinology or bariatric surgery.

How I work

1

First, understand

Complete medical history, physical exam and lab work. Before indicating any treatment, I need to know your real starting point.

2

Then, a plan built for you

Nutrition, physical activity and medical treatment —if indicated— designed for your body, your routine and your goals. No two plans are alike.

3

Always, follow-up

Follow-up visits to adjust the plan as you progress. The goal is not a quick change: it's that you learn to keep it for life.
